Overview
IRBESARTAN is a Schedule H drug.Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Irbesartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Irbesartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is sometimes given together with other blood pressure medications. Irbesartan is also used to treat kidney problems caused by type 2 diabetes.

How Do I Take It?

Dehydration, excessive sweating, vomiting, or diarrhea may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Contact your healthcare provider immediately. Patients who take medicine for high blood pressure often feel tired or run down for a few weeks after starting treatment. Be sure to take your medicine even if you don’t feel normal. Caution needed while using in children, elderly patients. Lab tests, including blood pressure, blood electrolyte levels and heart, kidney, or liver function, may be performed while using this medication. Drinking alcohol can further lower your blood pressure and may increase certain side effects of irbesartan.Symptoms of Overdosage
