Dichlorphenamide reduces the activity of this protein.The Daranide brand of dichlorphenamide is used to treat glaucoma.The Keveyis brand of dichlorphenamide is used to treat occasional paralysis (loss of movement) caused by high or low levels of potassium in your blood.This medication is used to treat a certain inherited conditionit can decrease the number of attacks of muscle weakness.Dichlorphenamide is used to treat inherited muscle disorders, such as primary hyperkalemic periodic paralysis, primary hypokalemic periodic paralysis, and related variants.

- This medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun.
- Avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors.Follow all directions on your medicine label and package
- You should not use dichlorphenamide if you are allergic to it, or if you have:severe breathing problems,kidney failure,liver disease.
- Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- Dichlorphenamide is usually taken twice per day.While using dichlorphenamide, you may need frequent blood tests.
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart disease, hormonal disease, any allergy, who are taking other medication, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Avoid excess dosage.
