Overview
HYDROFLUMETHIAZIDE is a Schedule H drug.Hydroflumethiazide is a thiazide diuretic. It lowers blood pressure and fluid retention in edema by removing the extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Hydroflumethiazide is used in high blood pressure and edema. It treats edema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.

Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with the history of fluid and electrolyte disturbances, cirrhosis, gout, diabetes, elderly, heart, kidney or liver impairment, anuria, Addison’s disease, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Monitor blood glucose level in patients taking anti-diabetic drugs. It may cause blurred vision or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
