Overview
PERPHENAZINE is a Schedule H drug.Perphenazine is an anti-psychotic medicine in a group of drugs called phenothiazines (FEEN-oh-THYE-a-zone). It works by changing the actions of chemicals in your brain. Perphenazine is used to treat psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. It is also used to control severe nausea and vomiting.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of seizures, breast cancer, asthma, trouble in urinating, lung disease, alcohol abuse, depression, heart disease, Reye syndrome, Parkinson disease, increased eye pressure, high/low blood pressure, prostate enlargement, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or fainting, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption.
