Pegvisomant is a man-made protein that is similar to human growth hormone. Pegvisomant binds to the same receptor in the body as growth hormone, and blocks the effects of growth hormone.It is injected into the fatty layer of tissue under the skin. It is recommended to inject in different places of the body every day.

  • You will need frequent blood tests to check your liver function.
  • Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
  • It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly
