ACARBOSE

ACARBOSE is an Over-the-counter (OTC) drug.

Acarbose slows the digestion of carbohydrates in the body, which helps control blood sugar levels. Acarbose is used together with diet and exercise to treat type 2 diabetes. Stomach pain, diarrhea, flatulence are the side  effects associated with Acarbose.

Route of Administration: Oral

Precautions

• Take each dose with the first bite of each main meal.
• In case of overdose, do not eat or drink anything containing carbohydrates for the next 4 to 6 hours.

Symptoms of Overdosage

ACARBOSE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing

ACARBOSE : Diarrhoea, Constipation, Abdomen Pain, Abdomen Bloating Or Fullness, Increased Passing Gas

Serious Side-Effects

ACARBOSE : Hepatitis, Body Itching, Face Swelling, Swollen Lips, Swollen Tongue, Body Bruising, Dark Colored (brown) Urine, Loss Of Appetite

Rare Side-Effects

ACARBOSE : Jaundice, Eyes Yellow Eyes

ACARBOSE can interfere with: Cirrhosis, Renal Failure, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Drug Induced Liver Disease
