DEXTROTHYROXINE is a Schedule H drug.Dextrothyroxine is specifically used to treat problems related to heart blockages caused by the deposition of fat and high levels of cholesterol. The drug helps to treat the bad cholesterol and triglycerides, lowering its levels and increasing the good cholesterol in the blood. Dextrothyroxine is used in the treatment of Hypercholesterolemia and Hyperlipoproteinemias.

- Do not use for treatment of obesity
- Increased serum thyroxine levels are to be expected, do not interpret as hypermetabolism
- Use with caution in patients with a history of angina pectoris, severe hypertension, or myocardial infarction
