RASBURICASE

Overview

RASBURICASE is a Schedule H drug.
Rasburicase helps keep uric acid levels in the body from getting too high. Uric acid levels can increase during cancer treatments when tumor cells break down. Rasburicase is used to manage uric acid levels in adults and children receiving cancer treatment for leukemia, lymphoma, and certain tumors.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney disease, dehydration, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid excess dosage.

RASBURICASE : Depression, Skin Rash, Diarrhoea, Difficulty Swallowing, Abdomen Pain, Agitation, Gums Bleeding, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Cough, Dizziness, Head Headache, Vaginal Bleeding Between Periods, Nausea, Vomit, Throat Soreness, Constipation

RASBURICASE : Hives, Back Pain, Eyes Yellow Eyes, Face Swelling
