Overview
LURASIDONE is a Schedule H drug.Lurasidone is an antipsychotic medicine. It works by changing the effects of chemicals in the brain. Lurasidone is used to treat schizophrenia in adults and teenagers who are at least 13 years old. Lurasidone is also used to treat episodes of depression related to bipolar disorder (manic depression) in adults and children who are at least 10 years old.

Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of Alzheimer disease, dementia, Parkinson disease, trouble in swallowing, cancer, dehydration, alcoholism, heart, kidney, or liver impairment, seizures, high or low blood pressure, high cholesterol, high or low blood pressure, any allergy, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption.
