LOXAPINE is generally taken With Food.
Route of Administration: Oral

Precautions

aution should be exercised in patients with history of seizures, difficulty in urinating, increased eye pressure, breast cancer, brain tumor, heart disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do not become overheated; otherwise it may cause heat stroke. Patient may develop with increased risk of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS) with the following symptoms: increased body heat, muscle rigidity, altered mental abilities. If it so consult with your doctor.

LOXAPINE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing, Fainting, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)

LOXAPINE : Skin Rash, Loss Of Balance, Slurred Speech, Constipation, Difficulty Urinating

Serious Side-Effects

LOXAPINE : Fainting, Throat Soreness, Fever, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Abdomen Pain

Rare Side-Effects

LOXAPINE : Rapid Heart Rate (pulse), Fever, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Throat Soreness

LOXAPINE can interfere with: Dementia, Alcohol Poisoning, Psychosis, Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, Alcoholism, Hypotension, Myocardial Infarction, Respiratory Failure, Tardive Dyskinesia, Seizure, Glaucoma, Urinary Tract Infection, Breast Cancer, Hyperprolactinaemia, Neutropenia, Diarrhoea, Vomiting, Parkinsonism
