GADOBUTROL

Overview

GADOBUTROL is a Schedule H drug.
Gadobutrol is a contrast agent that produces magnetic effects. It is used in combination with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) to allow blood vessels, organs, and other non-bony tissues to be seen more clearly. Gadobutrol is used to help diagnose certain disorders of the brain and spine (central nervous system), or the blood vessels of the kidneys. Gadobutrol is also used with MRI of the breast to help detect breast cancer.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney impairment, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.

GADOBUTROL over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing
