GADOXETATE DISODIUM is a Schedule H drug.
Gadoxetate is a contrast agent that produces magnetic effects. It is used in combination with magnetic resonance imaging  to allow blood vessels, organs, and other non-bony tissues to be seen more clearly.Gadoxetate is used to help diagnose certain disorders of the liver.It helps in clear visualization of blood vessels, organs, and other non-bony tissues.

How Do I Take It?

Route of Administration: IV (Intravenous)

Precautions

  • You should not receive gadoxetate if you are allergic to it.
  • Gadoxetate is given as an infusion into a vein. A healthcare provider will give you this injection during your MRI.
  • Tell your caregivers if you feel any burning, pain, or swelling around the IV needle when gadoxetate is injected.Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, high blood pressure, liver disease, asthma, any allergy, had an injury, surgery, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

GADOXETATE DISODIUM : Head Headache, Back Pain, Dizziness, Nausea, Skin Irritation, Drowsiness, Mood Swings, Body Burning Sensation

Serious Side-Effects

GADOXETATE DISODIUM : Edema, Acute Kidney Failure, Body Itching, Body Discomfort, Fatigue (tiredness), Arms Stiffness, Legs Stiffness, Body Loss Of Movement, Hips Joint Pain, Loss Of Appetite, Difficulty Urinating, Shortness Of Breath
