How Do I Take It?
Route of Administration: IV (Intravenous)Precautions
- You should not receive gadoxetate if you are allergic to it.
- Gadoxetate is given as an infusion into a vein. A healthcare provider will give you this injection during your MRI.
- Tell your caregivers if you feel any burning, pain, or swelling around the IV needle when gadoxetate is injected.Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, high blood pressure, liver disease, asthma, any allergy, had an injury, surgery, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
