MECHLORETHAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE
Mechlorethamine is used to treat the symptoms of several types of cancer (cutaneous T-cell lymphoma). Mechlorethamine treats only the symptoms of cancer but does not treat the cancer itself. Mechlorethamine is also sometimes injected into body spaces around the heart, lungs, or stomach to treat fluid retention in these areas caused by cancer. Mechlorethamine belongs to a class of drugs known as alkylating agents. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells that cause the skin condition.
